Those who love Russian language, Russian poetry, and Russian spirit, will certainly strive here, to Pushkinskie Gory, a wonderful corner where everything breathes the memory of the great poet.
State Memorial Historical-Literary and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve of Alexander Pushkin "Mikhailovskoye" (Pushkin Reserve) includes the monuments of Pushkinogorye associated with the life and work of the poet.
Mikhailovskoye Estate Museum. This is an ancestral estate of Pushkin's mother. It is his poetic homeland, the place of the poet's spiritual formation. Here he lived and worked in 1817, 1819, 1824-1826, 1827, 1835 and 1836.
Trigorskoye Estate Museum. "Shelter, dressed with the radiance of the muses" is the house of Pushkin's friends, a place that became a second home for him during the years of Mikhailovskoye exile. Priceless Pushkin poems are dedicated to the inhabitants of Trigorskoye; these realities are also depicted in the novel "Eugene Onegin".
Petrovskoye Estate Museum. This is an ancestral estate of Pushkin's ansestors - Gannibals. This place is connected with the poet's interest and respect for the history of his family and the history of the Russian state, reflected in his work.
Svyatogorsky Holy Dormition Monastery and the necropolis of the Gannibals-Pushkins. The monastery was founded by the order of Tsar Ivan IV in 1569 and has been among the most revered in Russia since then. The grave of Alexander Pushkin. During the war, the Nazis planted bombs in the monastery, the tomb of Alexander Pushkin and the hill where the grave is located. The explosions destroyed the stairs leading to the poet's grave. The monument on the grave was tilted, and the area around it was damaged. The main church of the monastery was blown up twice. The bicentennial bell was destroyed, the iconostasis was broken, many icons were shot through…
After the war, everyone got involved in the restoration of the ruined Pushkinogorye. People pulled away the rubble, dug trenches, and planted new trees. A huge number of people from different parts of our country participated in the restoration.
This year the Pushkin Nature Reserve turns 100 years old.
Visit Pushkin places - so good at any time of the year!
And after a walk through the Reserve, visiting museums and holy places, you will have a wonderful rest in the rooms of our Estate, furnished and decorated in the spirit of ancient traditions, but yet comfortable in a modern, homely way.
Plunging into an armchair with a cup of fragrant tea by the fireplace, you'll turn over the pages dear to our hearts, where the poet's voice seems so close and dear:
Greetings to you, my deserted corner,
A haven of peace, work and inspiration…
