March 17 marks the 100th anniversary of the restoration of the Pushkin Reserve
The State Memorial Historical, Literary and Natural Landscape Museum-Reserve of A. S. Pushkin "Mikhailovskoe" is a unique monument of Russian culture of national importance, one of the largest literary reserves in the world, was founded in 1922 in memory of the great Russian poet's stay in these places .
Today, the museum-reserve in Pushkinskiye Gory combines memorial estates with their magnificent gardens and parks: the family estate of the Pushkin family - Mikhailovskoye, the estates of the poet's friends and ancestors - Trigorskoye and Petrovskoye. On the territory of the museum there is an operating water mill, a peasant yard, the Museum Post Office, a craft center, as well as ancient settlements: Savkino, Voronich, Vrev and Velye.
The main shrine of these places is the grave of A. S. Pushkin, located near the walls of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Mother of God in the Svyatogorsk Monastery.
